Wings 2 is a 2D multiplayer network game. You fly small and agile ships in varied maps, choosing from a wide variety of different weapons and devices to use against your opponents. The game offers several game modes with different styles of play, and supports internet, LAN and splitscreen games.

This is a great game and making it free just makes it even better. I spent many hours playing the demo so this is welcome news.

You need to install libstdc++5 (in Debian based distros) or so. If you still have problems, Wings 2 forum is a good place to ask:

Im having problems getting Wings 2 to run. It needs libstdc++.so.5 (older version than what I have), and if I create a link to the newer version with libstdc++.so.5 name, it still complains about missing something like:

./Wings: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5: version `CXXABI_1.2 not found (required by ./Wings)

./Wings: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5: version `GLIBCPP_3.2 not found (required by ./Wings)

Anyone else have the same problem? Any answers to the problem?
